The downside of wearing shirts that you buy at concerts is that bands change. If anyone ever asked about my Architecture In Helsinki shirt I’d have to say “but only up to the second album”.

Went shopping downtown today and the nicest thing I got was not being kicked out of Urban Outfitters for being too old. The not being stabbed was nice too.

I think alcoholics really do have the right idea. One whiskey, One beer, and Two glasses of wine later and I don’t even remember what I was so upset about.

Oh my God you guys, it was the sweetest thing, Encore know I was feeling blue and so they played Fletch tonight. It’s times like this that you know who your friends really are.

Watched a three hour marathon of “The Office” last night on TBS that was apparently sponsored by Target because they played a lot of Target ads all featuring the same slightly hypnotic song.

I swear to God that I’ve somehow damaged my Oblique swinging that fucking golf club even though I’m not entire sure where or what an Oblique is.

If I set the language on my iPod to French, will...
I drive an average of 700 miles each week, so I spend a lot of time listening to my iPod. I’ve got 10,000 of the worlds greatest songs in a meticulously maintained library. When I first got my iPod, I would put it on shuffle when I didn’t want to listen to a particular album or artist, but that first iPod seemed to have a fondness for Steely Dan, making shuffle not seem random enough....

It’s weird; it feels like I’m writing this Tumblr page for just the four of you. This page isn’t really being advertised and no one seems to have been lured back by the reblog traps Bailey was kind enough to put out. Tumblr feels more like a profile page than an actual web page, and you don’t really expect someone to just stumble upon your Facebook profile and think “I kind of like this person, I...
Skate Park Review: King City: Deserted at 5PM,...
Thus began Bryan Skateboarding Mk3. I was 12 years-old when the landmark skateboarding film “The Search for Animal Chin” came out and me and all my friends went out and bought skateboards. I loved the culture and the idea of it all, but living in the mountains with salt-rotted roads and no sidewalks to speak of, I never really did much actual skating. I wasn’t cool enough to hang...
Finding out what my mom's favorite songs were by...
Out of the six I have, “This is Dedicated” by the Mamas & the Papas was the most well worn but playable, while “Louie Louie” by the Kingsmen might have been just as bad had there not been for a Parties Over Scratch about thirty seconds in. I think I grabbed those singles when I grabbed the Beatles records out of a box in the garage when I was sixteen and wanted to see...
When I'm on the road I can't check Favrd to see if...
There were about eight glorious months between starting on Twitter and joining Favrd. Eight months of having no feedback or response to the things I was writing. It’s like that old art vs. commerce argument, where as soon as you’re not doing it for yourself, it’s compromised. Not saying that my tweets were exactly art, and I was trying to entertain my followers, but it was never...

Almost gagged myself biting my fingernails, but I...
I’ve never chewed my fingernails, just a habit I never picked up. And with my slight germaphobia, it’s probably something I never will. But I’ve been playing the guitar a lot in the last few months, and noming my nails seems kind of appealing now that my nails need to little more maintenance. It would be nice to have perpetually rounded off fingers instead of having to go behind...
You know what perks you up better than drinking...
You’re never going to guess what happened just before I wrote this! In the past few months I have become a full-fledged lover of coffee. Before, I liked the idea of it, caffeine has been a friend to me in other forms for a very long time, but I never got around to the taste. And that was because I used to make horrible coffee. Now I make good coffee, and I love my morning ritual of...
